MOORE HAVEN, FL. -- Sedan, semi-truck, and fire truck crash on 12/29/23 AT 9:40 PM, State Road 78 at Duda Rd., Glades County. Driver and passengers of the sedan seriously injured and transported to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
From the FHP crash report:
Vehicle 1, a sedan driven by 24 year old female from Clewiston, and Vehicle 3, truck tractor driven by 30 year old male from Naples were traveling east on State Road 78 West.
Vehicle 2, truck driven by 25 year old from Okeechobee was traveling west on State Road 78 West.
Vehicle 1 entered the westbound lane of travel in front of the approaching Vehicle 2.
The front of Vehicle 1 collided with the front of Vehicle 2.
Post collision, debris from the initial crash collided with Vehicle 3.
Driver 1 and two passengers were transported to Hendry Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
