Obituaries - Charles Lederer, Clinton Anderson, Norma Jean Martinez

Charles Philip “Phil” Lederer age 62 of LaBelle, Florida passed away on November 20, 2023, in his home.

Phil was born in Oak Park, Illinois on April 24, 1961, to Charles and Diane Gizzi Lederer. Phil worked as a fireman and a delivery driver in Melrose Park before he moved to Florida. Once he lived in Florida he worked as a truck driver. He met his future wife while shopping at Dillard’s Department store. Phil and Heidi Humphries were married on December 18, 2004, at First Baptist Church in LaBelle, LaBelle. Phil enjoyed spending time out in the pastures around his home, taking care of his dogs, being out in the woods was where he was most at home. Phil was a quiet man who will be missed by his loving wife and his adorable daughter along with the rest of his family and friends.

Phil leaves fond memories with his loving wife; Heidi Lederer of LaBelle, adoring daughter; Chloe Lederer also of LaBelle, one brother; Barry Lederer of Melrose Park, Illinois, many nieces and nephews along with many friends.

Cremation rites will be accorded with a memorial service at a later date at First Baptist Church in LaBelle.

Obituary of Clinton Anderson

Clinton, after living a full life doing the things he loved quietly slipped away to his eternal home after a lengthy illness in Gainesville Fl on November 19, 2023.

He was born on August 4,1945 in Mississippi and in 1959 moved to Florida. Clinton loved people and his passion was gardening, smoking meats and cooking for big crowds. He was loved by everyone. He served his country well by serving in Viet Nam.

Clinton was a lifetime member of VFW 10100 LaBelle, lifetime member of DAV 144 LaBelle and member American Legion 0351 Tice FL

Clinton is survived by his wife of 27 years Louise (Robertson) Anderson, daughter Kelli Anderson, son John Anderson, grandchildren Meghan Ramos (Jesse), Evan and Emorie, siblings W.B. (Andy) Anderson (Myrna) Anderson, Dorrece Mathis, Wayne Anderson (Kay), Elaine Driver (Gary), stepsister Betty Jo (McGarity) Semken and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William C. (Bud) Anderson, mother Eula V. McGarity, twin Carlton Anderson and stepbrother Richard McGarity.

Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle is handling all arrangements.

Norma Jean Martinez, age 45 years old of LaBelle, Florida passed away on November 15, 2023 at her home in LaBelle, Florida. Norma was born in Naples, Florida to the union of Adolf and Eloisa Carmona Martinez. 

She worked for many years for Khale Law Firm then later worked for Hendry County in the Zoning and Engineering department. Norma was first a loving mother to her children and a loving sister to her siblings. Norma was a member of Christ Central Church where she enjoyed seeing all of her friends. 

Norma will be dearly missed by her entire family and all of her close friends. Norma leaves fond memories with her children, Cristian Arriola, Adriana Arriola, Tatiana Guare, Juliann Guare all of LaBelle, Florida, she also leaves fond memories with her two sisters; Naomi Bustamante and Nicole Gore also of LaBelle. 

Celebration of Norma’s life was on Friday, December 1, 2023 with a visitation starting at 5 pm, then a service starting at 6 pm all at Christ Central Church in LaBelle. Cremation rites were accorded following the celebration. Cremation arrangements were being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home – LaBelle.
