Obituaries - Gilberto Arguelles, Curvin Staley Martin

Curvin Staley Martin, age 94, passed away after a lengthy battle on December 27, 2023 in Clewiston, Florida. Curvin was born on December 20, 1929, in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania to the late Curvin Henry and to the late Florence Staley Martin.

 Curvin married Marjorie Hand on July 7, 1960, they were married for fifty years before she preceded him in death on November 16,2013. 

Curvin was a member of Community Presbyterian Church for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He worked as a Soil Technologist for United States Sugar Corporation for many years before he retired, then he worked at Wal-Mart for many years as a greeter. 

Curvin will be dearly missed by his entire family and friends. 

Curvin leaves fond memories with his step-daughter; Brenda Lopez and her husband Pepe of Clewiston, Florida , grandson; Robin Lopez and his wife Michelle and their two children Olivia and Lucas, grandson, Oliver Lopez, one brother; Milton Martin, along with many extended family members and close family friends. 

Celebration of Curvin's life was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Community Presbyterian Church where visitation was 30 minutes before the service. Curvin will be laid to rest next to the love of his life, Marjorie in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
