Clewiston Police Ask For Tips On Ball Field Vandalism

CLEWISTON, FL. -- The Clewiston Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for repeated criminal mischief and vandalism at Clewiston's local ball fields and public restrooms.

Recent incidents include:
• Clay being thrown and smeared on the outside of the building, damaging the paint and exterior
• Clay and sand being placed into toilets, causing plumbing problems and damage
• Excessive toilet paper being used to intentionally clog toilets and flood the restrooms
• Damage to sinks, mirrors, and other restroom fixtures
This is not harmless fun or a prank. This is intentional destruction of public property that costs taxpayers money to clean, repair, and replace.

 Anyone identified committing these acts may face criminal charges, including Criminal Mischief, and may be arrested when permitted by law.
