HCSO VICE NARCOTICS UNIT ARREST TWO ON NUMEROUS DRUG CHARGES
CLEWISTON, FL. -- On Friday, July 16, 2021, after a lengthy investigation, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant at the Best Western Hotel, Room 225, located at 1020 W. Sugarland Highway in Clewiston, in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
As a result of the investigation, the HCSO Narcotics Unit determined that 20 year old Thomas C. Ferguson, of Labelle and Angela Hanson, 19 year old had rented a room at the Best Western and possessed a large quantity of narcotics within, which lead to the successful execution of the search warrant.
HCSO Narcotics Vice Unit along with members of road patrol located approximately 451.8 grams of cocaine, approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 19.9 grams of marijuana, needles, several types of pills that were pre-packaged for sale, a digital scale, drug manufacturing equipment, drug paraphernalia, $612.00 cash, several cellular telephones, along with a handgun.
Ferguson was arrested and taken into custody on charges of Trafficking in Cocaine, Manufacturing Cocaine, Possession of Place Used for the Manufacturing of Narcotics, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ferguson was released on July 18, 2021 on $186,000 bond.
Hanson was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription and an outstanding Felony warrant for Failure to Appear. Hanson is currently being held without bond.
