CLEWISTON, FL. -- On December 1, 2021, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit Detectives placed 20 year old, Genesis Chavez under arrest on 31 counts of Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Distribute and 31 counts of Transmission of Pornography by Electronic Device.
The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit along with the Clewiston Police Department conducted a 7 month long investigation involving Child Pornography.
On April 13, 2021 the Clewiston Police Department enlisted the assistance of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit when they received a complaint from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit out of Broward County, Fl which indicated child pornography was being downloaded/uploaded from the residence of Genesis Chavez within Clewiston, Hendry County Florida.
On Tuesday, April 19, 2021, members of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence. This investigation was initiated with information received from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and provided to us by the Clewiston Police Department. The information received from ICAC indicated the illegal use of computers and alleged possession and/or distribution of sexual images of children were being generated from this residence.
Electronic devices were confiscated and sent for forensic review by Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
Once receiving and reviewing the all electronic communications to include images and videos from email and social media accounts, Chavez was taken into custody at her home.
Chavez is currently being held in the Hendry County Jail on $310,000.00 bond
What about the part of Genesis Chavez being used by another person to forward all this bullshit when she was a minor??? She was used and manipulated! Rafael Gonzalez Santiago, 41, was also found guilty of false imprisonment and robbery during a non-jury trial.
On June 13, 2019, Hendry County deputies responded to a home invasion. Santiago had cut the power to a home in Clewiston and gone inside before robbing and sexually battering the elderly resident
