Two Charged With Violent Clewiston Home Invasion

CLEWISTON, FL -- On Tuesday, December 14, 2021 Detectives with the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit put closure to a Violent Home Invasion which left an entire family in terror.

On Tuesday November 10, 2020 at approximately 11:00 pm, two assailants armed with handguns broke into a home in the Clewiston area. Once inside the men quickly took control of the victim’s at gunpoint.

The residence was occupied by three adults and three children, to include a 5 year child. The armed assailants placed their guns at the head of some of the victims and struck one in the head with a gun. Before leaving the home they demanded money and jewelry.

Before leaving the home the suspects threatened the victims to not to call the police and took their cell phone. The suspects fled the residence with cash and jewelry.

Over the last year Detectives continued to investigate leading to the arrest of Darion Nesta Radcliffe, 23 of Clewiston and 21 year old Johon Willingham also of Clewiston.

Radcliffe was taken into custody and charged with (6 Counts) of Aggravated Assault, (1 Count) Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, (6 Counts) of Kidnapping While Committing or Facilitating the Commission of a Felony, (1 Count) Use or Display of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, (1 Count) Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, (1 Count) of Armed Burglary, (1 Count) Robbery with a Firearm, (1 Count) Grand Theft and (1 Count) Child Abuse. 

 Radcliffe is currently being held on no bond at this time.

Willingham was also taken into custody and charged with (6 Counts) Aggravated Assault, (1 Count) Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, (6 Counts) Kidnapping While Committing or Facilitating the Commission of a Felony, (1 Count) Use or Display of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, (1 Count) Armed Burglary, (1 Count) Robbery with a Firearm, (1 Count) Grand Theft and (1 Count) Child Abuse. 

 Willingham is currently being held on $865,000.00 bond.

Radcliffe and Willingham were already in the Hendry County Jail on unrelated violent felony charges when Detectives charged them with the Home Invasion crimes.
