Cleaning Up Clewiston's Drug Scene - 4 Arrests

TWO CLEWISTON MEN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

On Thursday, January 5, 2012, Hendry County Narcotic Investigators executed a search warrant at Foxbriar Mobile Home Community, Lot 73 that resulted in the arrest of two Clewiston men.

Hendry County Investigators detained 18 year old Tyler Yebba who was at the home working on his vehicle that was parked in the front yard. After entering the home they took into custody 31 year old Christopher Michael Stanton. (photo left)

Investigators seized cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Christopher Michael Stanton was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana under 20 grams, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Stanton is currently being held on $27,000.00 bond.

Tyler Yebba was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 20 grams. He was later released on a $1,000.00 bond.

JOSHUA LEE SLOAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

On January 6, 2012, members of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office added additional charges to the currently incarcerated 21 year old Joshua Lee Sloan. (photo left) Sloan was arrested by Clewiston Police Department on September 16, 2011 on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Investigators conducted an undercover buy from Sloan on September 13, 2011. Sloan sold the narcotics out of his home located on 1008 Mississippi Avenue in Clewiston, Florida.
Sloan remains in custody on a $27,500.00 bond.

CLEWISTON WOMAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES


Kayla Janelle Spears of Clewiston was arrested on January 6, 2012 after she delivered drugs to undercover deputies.
While conducting undercover drug buys in Clewiston, Florida, Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators had arranged to meet with 22 year old Paris Howell to purchase prescription narcotics. When investigators arrived at Howell’s residence located at 816 W. Alverdez Ave, in Clewiston, he was not home. Investigators made contact with Powell via phone, they were told by Howell to go back by his residence and his girlfriend would bring the drugs out to them.
Investigators arrested and charged Spears with Sale of Oxycodone within 1000’ of a Place of Worship. Spears was released on January 6, 2012 on $25,000.00 bond.

    second question... Is the sloan guy related the the judge, just asking.

  2. The three photos should show up. Refresh your page or check your computer settings might help. At this time it is unknown if Joshua Lee Sloan is related to the Hendry County Judge.

  4. The photos were not seen for some reason using IE browsers, but were seen in Chrome browsers. I've corrected the missing photo problem hopefully for Internet Explorer users.
