Shooting Outside Suzy B's - Two Wounded
CLEWISTON, FL. -- Clewiston Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting outside Suzy B’s Saturday night and found two victims suffering gunshot wounds. A number of vehicles parked in the area may have been hit by gunfire. No uninvolved people were injured.
Police Chief Don Gutshall will be meeting with Suzy B owners and managers this week. The investigation continues into the shooting. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Police Department 983-1474.
Chief Gutshall reports on Monday morning, Tito Nieves, Chief Gutshall, and Sheriff Steve Whidden participated in an early morning talk show sponsored by the radio station. The topic was law enforcement past, present, and future.
The department's traffic safety initiatives won a grant award of $12,000 to be used in Traffic
Safety Programs. The department heads are looking through the “equipment and supply list” today to determine our needs. A job well done by Adam Baker who heads the program annually.
Animal Control’s haul this week included coons, possums, fox, iguana, skunk, squirrel, and a chicken….it’s this type of a collection as well as the time of year that makes us wary of distemper. Please be on your guard for animals of any kind behaving in a strange fashion.
