CAPE CORAL, FL. -- Strike up the band! The Lee County Community Band will begin its 134th season with a lively, fun-filled concert on November 10th at 3:00 pm at the Cape Coral High School Auditorium.
In keeping with tradition for the season’s first concert, Director Richard Bradstreet has selected a program featuring spirited and patriotic American music as well as music by American composers and a tribute to U.S. Military Veterans.
The program will include: energetic marches including “The Thunderer”; “Fiddle-Faddle” which features percussionist John Fenn; “Gershwin Classics”; “Vaudeville Spectacular” and “The Homefront”. The program will also include “The Light Eternal” which recounts the story of four WWII U.S. Army Chaplains who sacrificed their lives.
As always, the concert is free but donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. The band presents concerts each 2nd Sunday from November until April.
