LABELLE, Fl. -- Motorcyclists Steve Nunes, Jr., 29 of Saginaw, TX and Fabio A. Ramos, 26 of Cape Coral, Fl were eastbound on Loblolly Bay Rd at Altman Lane in the Muse community of Glades county at 3:45 Saturday.
Nunes was ahead of Ramos when Nunes made an improper U-turn in the direct path of Ramos.
As a result, the front of Ramos' cycle impacted the left side of Nunes cycle. After impact, Nunes cycle came to final rest within the westbound lane facing west.
Ramos' cycle came to final rest on the north shoulder along the tree line, facing west.
Both drivers were separated from the vehicles and Nunes came to final rest on the eastbound
lane facing south. Ramos came to final rest on the north shoulder facing south.
Both were killed in the accident. Nunes was not wearing a helmet although Ramos was according to the FHP. The crash is under investigation.
