Chris Schmiege Talks On State Forest Recreation

Forest Recreation and Management on Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest.
LABELLE, FL. -- Learn out about recreational opportunities in Hendry County's Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest as Forester Chris Schmiege of the Florida Forest Service presents a program on "Forest Recreation and Management on Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest" on Monday September 8 at 7 p. m. at the Cooperative Extension, Dallas Townsend Building 1085 Pratt Blvd. in LaBelle.

Okaloacoochee Slough is a 13,382 acre pristine slough located in Hendry County and 1 section in Collier County providing a large roaming area of contiguous habitat for a variety of wildlife species. The forest offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors.
