In a quick survey around the area it seems that neighborhoods around Port LaBelle that have underground utility lines now have power, Laurel Oaks, Mira Verde, and the manufactured home neighborhood at Collingswood and Cowboy Way.
Some business in the manufacturing area north of Cowboy near the airport have electric as well. Most of the locations report electric coming on Monday night about 8:30 after about 30 hours on no electric from Sunday afternoon.
Because of the lack of electricity, there are virtually no business, schools or government offices open. Clewiston's radio station has been dark since the storm as has been many radio and television stations in Fort Myers and Naples.
A mile long line was at the Handy store on Cowboy and Main Street today filling up vehicle with gas. Walmart in LaBelle is open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. using a generator to power the store. Food is very limited with many shelves completely empty Tuesday afternoon.
Hendry County is in the process of delivering supplies to the most outlying areas of the County that remain without power. Additional supplies will be distributed to these communities as well as other areas throughout the County in the coming days. Post here if you have electric service in order to give some idea to the readers where it's now on.
