Waste Pickups Resume - Food Distribution Centers

Hendry County is establishing a food distribution center at the Household Hazardous Waste Center in LaBelle, located at 1360 Forestry Division Road (turn at EMS station off of Cowboy Way). Other food distribution locations in the County are being developed now and more details will be available shortly.
The Solid Waste transfer stations in LaBelle and Clewiston are now open to the public.

Due to power outages, the LaBelle station is only accepting cash and account customers at this time. Customers in Labelle should understand that their loads will be estimated by the scale attendant and that decision is final. The Clewiston station is accepting credit cards. Residents may take all items needing disposal to these transfer stations.

Curbside pickup for household waste has resumed in the City of LaBelle, Port LaBelle and Fort Denaud. Curbside pickup is for household waste only, not debris. All waste should be properly stored in a trash can.

The City of Clewiston will pick up household waste Wednesday, September 13, 2017 and Thursday, September 14, 2017. Dumpster pickup is today, Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Thursday, September 14, 2017, the regular trash pickup schedule will resume.

Please be mindful that some roads remain impassible and garbage trucks may not be able to pick up all trash on the dates listed above.

The City of Clewiston has lifted their curfew effective immediately on September 13th. Per the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, the county-wide curfew remains in effect for the City of LaBelle and the unincorporated areas from 7 am until 7 pm daily.

Points of distribution, for food and water, are open for Glades County Residents at the following location and time. Please remember to bring a photo ID.

Palmdale Fire Department, Ortona Fire Department,
Doyle Conner Building, Muse Fire Department,
Lakeport Fire Department, and Buckhead Ridge Fire Department from 10am to 3pm or until supplies runs out. Please use caution, officers are directing traffic.

Glades County Property Appraiser's Office
Glades County Tax Collector's Office
Glades County Supervisor of Elections
County employees that have any questions will need to contact their
immediate supervisor.

MRE’s and water will be available at the John Boy Auditorium in Clewiston and the Montura Fire Station this afternoon, Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Residents need to bring their own containers to fill with water.
