LABELLE, FL. -- Two weeks after Hurricane Irma electric has now been restored for most of the county's homes and businesses and electric may be expected to be restored within 10 days in nearby Lehigh Acres and Immokalee.
The flooding that was becoming a problem as sheet flow from northern counties slowly moved down to the Hendry and Glades county area has now gone away.
Recovery is well underway as large trucks cruise the streets to remove debris piled high at curb sides.
The Salvation Army, American Red Cross and church groups are active handing out food, tarps and water as well as the Army Corps of Engineers providing blue tarp installation on homes with roof damage.
While gas prices are still high it's widely available without lines and most businesses are operating normally throughout the area.
