Ice Cream Social Thursday In Hendry County



Shell Lane Community Holds Ice Cream Social


The families on Shell Lane and other volunteer groups, hosted an ice cream social open to the public this Thursday.

The event had several community groups involved including Hendry Sheriff's Volunteers in Policing, a neighborhood crime watch group. Volunteers made homemade ice cream and the festivities begin at 7 p.m. Thursday August 4th.

Attending were Hendry Commissioner Carson Turner and School Superintendent Rick Murphy. Sheriff Steve Whidden and his band provided some country music for the evening entertainment.


Some of the community volunteers included Vicki Parrish, Mary Bartoshuck, Bonnie Weaver, and Mike Iglesias.


Shell Lane is on the north side of the Caloosahatchee River, west of LaBelle, off River Road.
