Multiple Child Abuser Warren Jeffs Sentenced To Life

Shackled Hands And Feet, Jeffs Hears Jury's Verdict

A Tom Green County, Texas jury today sentenced Warren Steed Jeffs to life in prison for the aggravated sexual assault of a twelve-year-old child. The jury also returned a 20-year sentence for sexual assault of a fifteen-year-old child. Jeffs will serve both sentences consecutively. Today's sentences follow last Thursday's verdicts finding Jeffs guilty of both crimes.

Jeffs had not been present in the courtroom in San Angelo, Texas while prosecutors testified in the punishment phase of the trial, but did appear for sentencing, in a suit and tie but shacked at the feet and hands. His court appointed attorneys asked to be dismissed after the sentencing, but the Judge denied the motion, and said they must continue to represent Jeffs and explain to him his right of appeal.

A total of 12 YFZ Ranch-related defendants have been indicted on sexual assault of a child, bigamy or other charges surrounding crimes at the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints properties. Eight defendants have been convicted on felony charges and sentenced to prison. The other four defendants are awaiting trial. All prosecutions are being handled by the Office of the Attorney General, which is working in cooperation with 51st Judicial District Attorney Steve Lupton.

Jeffs victimized women and children of the FLDS communities using his power and influence as the "Prophet." Evidence during the trial included audio tapes and writings showing how Jeffs taught underage girls to have sex with him, individually and in groups, under the guise of pleasing God and enabling them to get to heaven. Other wives of Jeffs attended the molestation of the children, under Jeffs direction. Jeffs was said to have 68 wives, although the exact number is not known.

  1. The definition of a destructive religious cult is like alcoholism-if alcohol controls you instead of the other way around you are an alcoholic. If they try to ruin your reputation and break up your family for trying to get out then they are a cult!
Please examine the Jehovah's Witnesses pedophiles go door to door and come on our property. Many court documents and news events prove that Jehovah's Witnesses suppress evidence when a child comes forward with allegations of molestation within the congregation.

Whenever you surrender your logic and reason to anyone who asks you to trust them because they know better it's possibly a cult.If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
