Congratulations To Healthy Start Finalists

Today, Healthy Start of Southwest Florida, announced the ten finalists for the 2011 Golden Baby Shoe Awards. The following individuals were selected for their outstanding contributions and dedication to improving the health and well-being of pregnant women or babies.

This prestigious group will be honored at the 2011 Golden Baby Shoe Awards Luncheon.  From the ten finalists, five awardees will be selected and announced at the luncheon, on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at The Estero County Club at The Vines.

The ten finalists were selected by the Golden Baby Shoe Awards Review Panel, from nominations submitted earlier this summer.  Nominations were accepted based on the following criteria:
- Is a Doctor, Nurse, Mid-wife, Social Worker or other Health Care/Social Service Provider involved in the direct care of mothers and babies;
- Has made a positive impact on improving the health of mothers and babies;
- Has demonstrated an enthusiasm and dedication for their work;
- Is well respected by colleagues and clients; and
- Has provided services in Lee, Collier, Glades, or Hendry County Florida.
