Hendry Sheriff Sworn In For 4th Term As County's Top Law Enforcement Official
LABELLE, FL. -- On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Hendry County Judge Darrell Hill swore in Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden for his fourth term as Hendry County Sheriff.
Sheriff Steve Whidden, family members and members of the Sheriff’s Office gathered in Judge Hill’s courtroom for the Oath-of-Office-Swearing In ceremony. Whidden was first elected Sheriff of Hendry County in 2008, which was followed by subsequent re-elections in 2012, 2016 and 2020.
Sheriff Whidden said, “I was honored this morning to be sworn in by Judge Darrell Hill. I am truly humbled and honored to have been re-elected to serve the people of Hendry County for another four years.
"I appreciate the love and support of my family, members of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office and the residents of Hendry County. It is because of your continued faith and trust that we, as an agency, are successful.
"I would like to thank every one of you in Hendry County for your ongoing support”.
