Jon Michael Randall, driving a 2009 Volvo truck and towed trailer (tractor/trailer combo) were southbound on US 27 (SR 25) when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.
He traveled partially onto the west grassy shoulder and then overcorrected and lost control of the truck and towed trailer. It overturned and came to final rest in the outside lane of SR 25. Randall had no injuries, and was wearing a seatbelt.
He was charged with speeding too fast for conditions on the curve.
It's nice to hear that Mr. Randall did not get hurt in the accident. However, since he disobeyed the law by over-speeding, he must be given a sanction. It's never advisable to go over the speed limit as that can endanger both the lives of the driver and the lives of others.
