Port LaBelle Crash Info Wanted


Driver & Passenger Flee After SUV Turnover

LABELLE, FL. -- The driver of a 2000 Dodge Durango and passenger fled after the vehicle flipped over about 1:30 A.M. Thursday morning at the curve on Collingswood Parkway in Port LaBelle.

The Durango was southbound on Collingswood Parkway north of SR80A, Cowboy Way and the driver failed to negotiate a curve and departed the roadway, overturning several times before coming to final rest on the east grassy shoulder of the roadway.  The driver fled the scene of the crash and is believed to have suffered injuries.

The Durango had about $10,000 in damages.

The area is dangerous as inattentive or impaired drivers speed along the 25 mph zoned highway between Cowboy Way and SR80.

Anyone with information regarding this crash should contact the Florida Highway Patrol in Fort Myers.

    The fhp cant run the license or vin and pay the owner a visit asap and administer a breath o lyzer...?
