Fatal Accident On US 27 In Glades County

Motorcycle Blows Tire

MOORE HAVEN, FL.-- Seth Wyatt Garvey, 20 of Moore Haven died as a result of a crash at US27 and SR29 north of Moore Haven, Florida.


Garvey, driving a 2011 Ducati motorcycle was ahead of a 2001 Freightliner truck, driven by Larzaro Guzman, 40 of Miami which was ahead of a 2009 Volvo truck driven by Randy Wayne Graves, 49 of Canton, Georgia.

Garvey's front tire blew out, causing him to lose control, and overturned onto its left side, ejecting Garvey, the motorcycle coming to rest within the outside lane of US 27. The left portion of the Freightliner's under carriage collided with the motorcycle, before traveling over the top of it and past it.

It was undetermined whether the truck collided with Garvey. The front center portion of the Volvo truck then struck the motorcycle within the outside lane.

It was undetermined whether the Volvo collided with Garvey and came to a controlled stop partially in the inside lane and partially within the paved portion of the center median and came to a controlled stop within the
outside lane and paved apron of the roadway.
