LaBelle's Bryan Boyle Arrested Again - Meth This Time

Boyle Arrested For Meth and Meth Pipe Possession

LABELLE, FL. -- Bryan Scott Boyle, age 35 of LaBelle, has been arrested again at his home in Port LaBelle Wednesday December 28th, this time on felony drug charges.

Boyle was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, after a search of the garage.

At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, Hendry Sheriff Steve Whidden went to 4502 Springview Circle where Boyle lives with his mother and grandmother. Boyle has been on probation since a December 15th trial.

Whidden found three other persons with Boyle, coming out from the garage area into the house, and noticed they were acting nervously with behavioral indicators that raised the Sheriff's suspicions, according to the booking report.

Boyle's mother gave written consent to search the garage after Boyle refused permission.

Whidden found in clear view two small plastic bags suspected of containing meth partially wrapped in a dollar bill, inside an eyeglass container. The meth weighted about 1.5 grams. Also found was a glass pipe with meth residue and a smaller amount of loose meth on a paper on a desk.

Another meth pipe made from a prescription drug bottle was found. It contained meth residue.

Accompanied by Deputy Cody McClelland and Sgt. George Elver, the four suspects were separated and questioned about the meth and pipes. Jaime Lee Long, aka Jamie Long, 26 of Felda and Boyle denied any knowledge of the meth and pipes.

William Ethan Cole Ragan, aka Ethan Reagan, 21 of Cypress Avenue in LaBelle, and Archie C. Thompson, 27 of Muse, said they had just arrived minutes before the Sheriff knocked on the door and both saw Boyle sitting at the desk in the garage smoking meth from the glass pipe. They signed statements attesting to what they saw.

Ragan (photo left) has a Hendry county arrest record including a December 20th arrest for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and an October 11th out of county fugitive arrest warrant.

Long has an arrest record going back to 2006, including adjudications of guilty for battery, reckless driving in 2008, and possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid drivers license, and contempt of court in 2011. She is serving a one year probation.

Boyle bonded out of jail Thursday morning, but Hendry Sheriff Steve Whidden obtained a warrant for Boyle's arrest for violation of probation.

Boyle was arrested again at his home on Springview Circle in Port LaBelle for violation of probation and Judge John Duryea, standing in for Hendry County Judge James Sloan refused bond, keeping Boyle in the Hendry jail until further notice.

Boyle, at a December 15th trial on various misdemeanor charges, told Judge James Sloan he was planning to move to Georgia and was given an opportunity by Sloan to move, get a job and "mail-in" reports to the Hendry probation office, and the possibility to have early termination of a two year probation if Boyle stayed out of trouble.

Presumably, with the new felony charges, should Boyle be found guilty, he may spend some real time behind bars.

Boyle, according to the arrest report is a German citizen, born in Stukarnashben, Germany and his last jobs were working with Revels Roofing and Protile Landscape. A google search for Stukarnashben, Germany however, finds no such place.

Update: On May 10th the LaBelle State Attorney's Office filed a notice with the court that they are not going  forward with the prosecution of Boyle on the two felony drug charges.

Such a sharp sherriff...let him bond out and then go after him for probation violation....it does make one wonder about which one is smarter...

  2. The Sheriff has to obtain an arrest warrant for violation of parole, and in this case the first arrest would have had to be made, and then an arrest warrant for the violation of probation requested. It does take some time to get a warrant. It may have been in Judge Sloan's jurisdiction to have had Boyle held in jail pending the 2nd arrest warrant being issued. But, as it turns out Boyle was re-arrested at his home later Thursday.

how in the hell is this on the sheriff? He has to follow the letter of the law unlike mr boyle.
Boyle was supposed to leave for Georgia per his probation hearing last week.Perhaps you would prefer the sheriff left this menace to society on the loose in your neighborhood? Why can't you just be happy that he is doing is job, you know the one we elected him to do?

What we have here is a failure to communicate...if the Judge was notified that a parolee was arrested for meth..he could have dealt with it...That is why I put it on the Sheriff.

By the way there are more than one of us posting anynomusly

Sheriff Steve and his deputies have arrested Brian Boyle 4 times in the last month. The sheriff has answered all requests of the residents of Laurel Oaks to observe criminal activity. He came at all hours of the day and night.Brian Boyle has made a fool of Judge Sloan, getting all charges dropped if he left the state.Brian Boyle has been arrested at least 22 times. The Sheriff is doing his job,Judge Sloan however has failed the taxpayers of Hendry Cty.

I am a resident of Laurel Oaks, first hand witness of the activity at the house where Brian Boyle lives. We have observed criminal activity for three years, however he had cameras viewing the entrance and his driveway with a monitor in the garage. When the Deputy's arrived, the garage door came down and Brian hid in the house.I thank the Sheriff for being stubborn and determined to stop this criminal, now lets see what the courts do.

Unbelievable! Criminal activity? Has your house been broke into, or your property been damaged? he does have friends which are not yet senior citizens, mostly in there 20's and 30's. I know brian tries to be as cosiderate as possible and tells his friends not to come over due to traffic. He does keep the noise down as much as possible. He's not a fugitive, or else he would had left town as soon as he was released. He knew they would be back to get him. All his charges up til now have been driving misdemeanors! Steadley harrassed by Sheriff and deputies, now has a felony drug charge! It wasn't even his!! Bryan has his problems. We all do, but looking past that, getting to know him, he is a good person! His biggest problem is his nosey neibors and the fact the sheriff is doing his political thing. I know there are bigger fish to fry! Bryan Boyle is not the horrible person everyone is making him out to be!

Thank GOD for "nosey neighbors" and a neighborhood of caring responsible residents.
The Laurel Oaks Sheriff's Volunteets are doing their job as is Sheriff Whidden. It is refreshing to see a community that will not put
up with Brian Boyle and his drug buddies.
Laurel Oaks looks after each other!

Bolye was arrested 22 times are you kiding me and still the judge ASKED him to leave the county. That is so funny . So I guess you can do alot of stuff get arrested and you might have aleast 20 times to do it again before the judge will consider to give you a stiff sentence or ask you to leave this county. You will not get my vote Sloan I'd vote for anyone else but sloan.

So editor what happen to jamie long did the judge ask her to leave the county too. Maybe that should be a standard thing now ask everyone that gets arrested "hey leave the county or we are going to arrest you 21 more times. what bullshoot.

It's almost sad to say that I know Bryan. He is a nice guy, but he let drugs comsume his life. He is not in this alone... Rj Landrum, Gene Anderson & Genero Deleon along with ALOT of others, need to be right next to Bryan in his jail cell.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Landrum has been found guilty of numerous charges including theft, and drug charges, and Anderson and Deleon have had charges filed against them as well in Hendry county in the past. They are presumed innocent at this time until arrested and a court finds them guilty of a crime.

Pretty much all that were mentioned in the above posts are scumbags and have no redeeming qualities and should be locked up.

I totally agree with the last posts. It seems all these scumbags are trying to reduce our young people into images of themselves. Something has got to be done about the drug addicts that plague out town. If you get rid of them, LaBelle would be as beautiful as it used to be.

Maybe it would help if y'all used drugs. Instead of incarcerating innocent people that are only trying to live their life. But there's people like y'all that just can't stand it. If we didn't have So many twisted cops I think it would be a whole lot better

People are quick to "deny" wrongdoing... but they are fast to preform illegal acts. They do this because they think they won't get caught. As you all can see.... people are getting caught. Jeremy Smith, WT Smiley and Edwin Rosado.... prime examples. If more people like the Laurel Oaks neighbors would speak up, there would be alot less home invasions, assalts, and drug users in LaBelle.
