LABELLE, FL. -- LaBelle Heritage Museum's historic 1905 Aiken-Rider House will be the site for renowned Santa Fe College Professor Mallory O'Connor on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 o'clock as she relates the Quest for the Fountain of Youth in myth, legend and history and connects it to the Florida of yesterday, today and tomorrow. This concludes this season's Special Speaker Programs made possible by a grant from the Florida Humanities Council making it possible to showcase programs otherwise not available to smaller communities at no cost to the public.
LaBelle Heritage Museum may be in the middle of the first phase of a major rehabilitation project made possible by the Florida Department of State and the Division of Historic Preservation and asks attendees to pardon our dust if this is the case. We hope we will be able to welcome guests to an improved 1911 William H. Poole Building this coming fall. In the meanwhile, do visit us at the Aiken-Davis House.
