The first, second, & third place winners from each school, LaBelle High School, Clewiston High School, & Moore Haven High School were invited to compete at the main stage on Friday, March 17, 2017.
$500 were awarded to the first place winner of the Drug Free Talent Fest and he was invited to perform Saturdayat the Clewiston Sugar Festival on March 18, 2017.
This year’s first place winner for the Drug Free Hendry County Talent Fest was Isaiah Young of Clewiston High School, who performed a dance to “Rolodex.” Jaime Hingson from Moore Haven Junior Senior High won second place, who sang, “Rock me Mama like a Wagon Wheel” with her guitar, and third place winner was Isaac Cadena from LaBelle High School, who sang “Come Fly with Me”.
The participants included Isaac Hernandez & Keianna Summers, from Clewiston; Emily Schwarz, from LaBelle, and Araya Lennon & Lacy Green, from Moore Haven. All participants did an outstanding job and showed the community that they are living positive.
Drug Free Hendry is proud of all the contestants that participated and performed in the Drug Free Talent Fest and for the students’ decision to stay drug free.
