Glades Public Safety has participated in this since it started in 2005 by the American Heart Association.

The instructors were Dr. Lemmons, Glades County Medical Director; Gini McCain, RN; Martian McDowell & Rich Billian, Lehigh Fire; Tim Barrett, Sanibel Fire; Bob Jones Glades County Public Safety.

All of Glades County Paramedics and Nurses from Raulerson Hospital Emergency Room attended the 8-hour course.

Glades County Paramedics also had training on the new automatic CPR compression equipment. This equipment will help save precious time during cardiac arrest calls and give the crews more time to focus on treatment with 100% accuracy on compression.
