What's Happening At Kiwanis

The LaBelle Kiwanis members were given a presentation on March 7th about Child Abuse Prevention by Vanessa Fischel-Healthy Families Program Manager for the Florida Department of Health, Lisa Sands-United Way Manager Hendry/Glades, and Lucinda Kelley - Director, ESE and Student Services for Hendry County Schools. 

The speakers also promoted an upcoming event to raise awareness for child abuse prevention; the “Prance for Prevention” 5K event to be held on April 12th. 

The Kiwanis Club of LaBelle is sponsoring this event by providing t-shirts to the first 50 participants in the 5K.

In lieu of a registration fee, donations of diapers and/or new children’s socks or sneakers to support our youngest and most vulnerable residents is greatly appreciated.
