Bobbie was born Jan. 12, 1954 to Richard & Jean Harris and she grew up in Murphys, CA.
Her daughter, Shawnica Erp was born in Jan. of 1972 followed by her son, James Humphrey in Jan of 1980. They moved to Thompson Falls, Montana in 1983. There she met the love of her life, Larry McKenzie and they married May 16, 1990.
Bobbie had a passion for water & “rock hounding” in creeks, rivers & oceans. Bobbie loved to read, especially science fiction & she loved movies. She loved plants & planting flowers in her many flower beds. Bobbie loved to travel and spent as much of her time as she could visiting her family all over the country. Bobbie & Larry loved riding their Harley’s together & she was always planning her next travel adventure.
Bobbie met many people throughout her life & touched many lives in the various jobs she worked over the years but had the greatest opportunity to reach out to people at her job at Spring Creek Academy where she was known as the “Queen of the Hungry Horse.”
She is predeceased by her brother: Billy Harris.
She is survived by her loving husband: Larry McKenzie of Thompson Falls, MT, daughter: Shawnica Erp & special son-in-law, Alan and her grandchildren: Kyle, Bryan & Bailey, Jennifer Erp Sabella, Kaylee & Evalena Sabella, all of Florida, son: James Humphrey, his wife Samantha & her grandchildren Jaleina & Isabella, all of Utah, son: Rodney McKenzie of Thompson Falls, MT, daughter: Bernadette McKenzie Tabury & granddaughters: Madison & Jordyn of Thompson Falls, MT, step daughter: Terese (Robert) Helvey of Thompson Falls & her grandchildren: Jake, Jason, Casey, Clete & DeeDee, step son: Randy McKenzie & grandchildren: Larry, Jeff and Sarah , sister: Kathy Harris and family, Doug & Charlotte of Oregon & Idaho, sister: Penny Harris-Miles & family, Jessica, Billy, Gary & Richard, all of California, brother: John Harris of Idaho, sister: Terry Harris of CA, father: Richard Harris of Murphys, CA and mother: Joan Harris of Oregon.
Special memorial services are being planned in both Alva, FL and Thompson Falls, MT. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that for all those whose lives were made special by knowing her to plant a flower or tree in her name or especially to “pay it forward” in her name to honor the wonderful, caring, compassionate and selfless woman that Bobbie is.
Survivors include her son: Donnie Joe Bishop of Lehigh Acres and Silver Lee Rush of Clewiston,, daughter; Robyn Rush of Clewiston, mother; Myrtle Elaine Duncan and brother; Gary Duncan, both of McLeansboro, IL, grandchildren: Lynn Creagh, Paris Howell, Alexis Jennings, Damian Bishop and Rhian Bishop and great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at Caloosa Crematory in LaBelle.
