Boil Water Warning In LaBelle - More Storm News

Equipment Failure Brings Water Boil Advisory

LABELLE, FL. -- A boil water notice has been issued for the City of LaBelle water service area. All City of LaBelle water users are advised to bring drinking water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to consumption. The notice is necessary due to an equipment failure. This notice is effective immediately and will be in effect at least until Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 4 pm or a different notice is issued lifting the boil water action.

Shelters located at LaBelle Middle School and Clewiston Middle School have been closed.

The Special Needs Shelter (SNS) located at the Glades County Health Department at 1021 Health Park Drive, Moore Haven, FL has been closed.

Hendry County Schools, Hendry County Government Offices and the City of LaBelle will be open Tuesday, August 28, 2012. All Students, Faculty, Staff and District Employees are to report to work at their normally scheduled times. The City of Clewiston is open on today.

There will be no Garbage collection in the City of LaBelle Monday.

Update August 29: The boil water notice issued for the City of LaBelle water service area on August 27th has been rescinded. Normal water usage may resume.
