MOORE HAVEN, FL. -- Moore Haven Elementary Safety Patrol will host its first annual cornhole tournament on Saturday, January 19. Play begins at 9:00 a.m. at Tom Perry City Park in Moore Haven.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Safety Patrol, helping to defray the costs of their trip to Washington, D.C.this spring.
Cornhole, also known as bean bag toss, corn toss, baggo or bags, is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing corn hole bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a team or player reaches the score of 21.
Prizes: Donations from local area businesses will be tucked inside of two – 48 qt. coolers. There will be 2 of everything such as $25 gift cards.
