Hendry County's Roads To Nowhere
No Passing Zone In Pasture, Left Turn Lanes To Nowhere
LABELLE, FL. -- No passing zone on a rural roadway leading to a pasture, and left turn lanes to nowhere are some quirky road markings in Hendry County, Florida in the Port LaBelle area, east of the city of LaBelle.
New construction changing State Road 80 from two lanes to four lanes have resulted in some unusual markings on the roadway of the old highway near Birchwood Parkway, and a weird no passing zone on newly constructed road leading to a pasture south of the Port LaBelle Inn.

The permit for road to the cow pasture was requested by the landowner a year ago according to official Records recorded in the Clerk's office. I was told he used the same contractor as FDOT
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the status of when the lost right turn lane at Collingswood will be built?
ReplyDeleteIt was February when state said they will build the right turn lane, which should have been part of the four lane project. BTW another accident there last night does some one have to die first.
