LaBelle Crash Leaves Passenger In Serious Condition

Two Vehicle Crash In LaBelle

LABELLE, FL. -- A crash between an SUV and a pick-up truck leaves one passenger from the SUV seriously injured and sent to the hospital.

The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Favor and Wallen Street in the city of LaBelle. It appears a black SUV was traveling eastbound while the black truck may have traveled into the intersection northbound after not yielding at the stop sign. The SUV overturned and trapped the occupants for some time until the EMS arrived.

Three others were reportedly left with no or minor injuries, including at least one child with a minor scrape. The scene was cleared by Hendry Sheriff Deputies at about 7:30 a.m. Further details are unknown at this time pending investigation by the Hendry Sheriff's department.

You know the real shame or blame here?
The Hendry County Sheriff office. The POSTED SPEED ON THOSE STREETS IS 20 MILES PER HOUR.

A kid was hit by a hit an run driver on Feb. 14th on Orange Ave an Wallen. They didn't even investigate or do anything. As soon as an "injury" is involved they RUN AWAY and hand it over to FHP. They have NO MORE involvement after that.

I think its time to play name the new sheriff again.
